Timișoara, Romania • Manufacturing Operations

  • Role Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, and improving all predictive and preventive maintenance activities for our machining and assembly equipment (milling, turning, grinding, and related processes). This role will ensure proper spare parts management, documentation, utilities monitoring, and maintenance performance tracking. The Maintenance Engineer will not directly manage technicians (this is the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor) but will oversee and coordinate the overall maintenance function and its continuous improvement.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance plans for all production machinery and equipment.
    • Plan and track maintenance improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
    • Manage the spare parts inventory: planning, stock monitoring, ordering, and optimization of usage.
    • Prepare, update, and maintain all maintenance documentation: manuals, work instructions, reports, and consumption files.
    • Monitor and report maintenance KPIs, resource consumption, spare-parts usage, and maintenance-related performance per assigned projects.
    • Ensure full utilities management: tracking energy, water, compressed air, gas, and other utilities consumption.
    • Propose and implement utility cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
    • Represent the maintenance function during internal and external audits (quality, safety, customer, or certification).
    • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure proper maintenance support for ongoing projects.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all maintenance activities.
    • Act as the process owner for predictive and preventive maintenance systems.
    • Support the Maintenance Supervisor by providing technical input, but without direct management of the daily technician teams.

  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role within industrial manufacturing (preferably machining, automotive, aerospace, or heavy industry).
    • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods, reliability-centered maintenance, and utilities management.
    • Familiarity with machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, assembly) and industrial equipment.
    • Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS/ERP) and KPI reporting.
    • Solid understanding of utilities systems (HVAC, compressed air, electrical, water, etc.).
    • Ability to prepare and manage technical documentation (manuals, work instructions, maintenance records).
    • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
    • Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards related to maintenance.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office; experience with specialized maintenance software is a plus.
    • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
